About Us
Your Teamsters Western Region & Local 177 Health Care Plan, and those who direct and administer it are committed to providing unparalleled service to the 40,000 UPS Teamsters we serve in 11 western states and NJ Local 177.
We’re proud of our heritage as Teamsters and our Plan’s commitment to you—“Providing Your Benefits. Protecting Your Future.” We’re here to serve you and your family, today, tomorrow and into the future.
The Plan was established following the June 2013 ratification of IBT-UPS master contract. A board comprised equally of Teamsters and company Trustees directs the Plan. The Trustees selected Southwest Service Administrators TPA, to administer the Plan and provide day-to-day Plan operations with offices in Phoenix, AZ, Albuquerque, NM and Salt Lake City, UT. Southwest Service Administrators is an independent third-party health benefits plan administrator specializing in labor-management funds. They have worked with Teamster funds and other unions’ funds since 1995.
